The golf sand wedge
The golf sand wedge is one of the most useful clubs in your bag. This wedge is primarily used for bunker shots, getting your ball out of the sand and onto the green.
The sand wedge is a highly lofted club with a generous amount of bounce angle.
The bounce factor is to prevent the club head from digging in to the sand and duffing the shot.
To use the golf sand wedge effectively requires a certain amount of practice, that is to say a lot of practice but when you get the hang of it you will be flying your ball out of the trap to land inches away from the pin.
Professional golfers actually use the bunkers in some situations to allow long shots in to the green which the sand will catch but which would not hold on a green.
