debo169 asked: I hit a Ping eye2 sand wedge 56 degree and a really cheap maxfli 57 degree sand wedge i have no real trouble with acuracy but most times the ball rolls about ten or more feet away. I can’t seem to get it the ball to settle any, and i just got a taylormade rac 60 degree wedge. was that a good choice or did i mess up getting that?
I have no problem with hitting a ball with backspin but i need help stopping the ball from around the green. I can hit my irons with backspin but i can’t seem to get my wedges to stop sooner. i have lost about three or four strokes with this problem. I want to stop the ball within five feet within the spot the ball hits the green.

Johnny asked: Here’s the link:

…..I live in Australia to $525AU is about $350US.
It also comes with 2 other wedges & a bag.
I really can’t afford to get ripped off/buy something that isn’t a good deal.
I think it is from the research I have done. Is that correct?
**EDIT: HE HAS JUST REPLIED TO ME SAYING THAT HIS DEFINITION OF MINT CONDITION (how he describes the irons) is that:
“The clubs are in good condition for their age”.
He obviously doesn’t know what ‘mint’ means………
I am a little worried now - or are they still a good deal?

ballerize me cap’n asked: This happened to me when I was playing by myself but I was just wondering what the correct ruling was.
The course was wet since it just rained. I hit a wedge onto the green and and it stuck on the fly to a steep undulation in the green. I marked the ball, moved the mark to the right a putter’s length, and repaired the mark on the green. But the ball wouldn’t stay where it originally was, so I let it roll down the hill to a point where it stopped. It ended up on the fringe actually, but I still putted from there. I didn’t add an extra stroke but I wasn’t any closer to the hole.
Did I make the right decision? If not, what should I have done?

Tampa Bay Lightning Fan. asked: I currently have a 8.5 degree driver, I can hit it between 200 and 260 yards. However, I hit the ball as high as if I where using a pitching wedge. Should I switch to a 7 degree driver? I have heard in many places that the higher the tragectory the shorter the distance will be, is this true? Where can I purchase a 7 degree driver (I recently visited “Edwin Watt’s Golf Shop” and they said that I would have to specially order a 7 degree driver?) Do they make the new “Nike Sasquatch” in 7 degrees?
Thanks for all the help,

gw_bushisamoron asked: Par 3 drive (140) hits the flagstick on the fly and ball becomes wedged between the flag, the stick and the little ring holding the flag on the stick (the bottom one).
Player 1 tells me I have an unplayable lie and have to take a drop with 1 shot penalty. I argue that since I cannot mark my ball, then that can’t be the rule.
Player 2 says play away, just make sure to only touch the ball and not the flag or stick or it’s 2 strokes. No way to do that.
I yanked the ball out, took a drop and sank the 1 foot putt (yay) and penciled in a 2. Who’s right?
Wow, thanks Spood, great answer. I never would have looked there as who thinks of the flag as an obstruction? I usually use it as a target!
It will never happen again, I’m sure.

aflumpire asked: i played golf early this morning and when i had to play some pitch and chip shots, sometimes the ball would just run along the ground even though I took out a good divot.
I blamed the weather on it as it was the weather (I played good shots on dry ground) so why to lofted clubs play so crap in wet weather??
F… off u troll. If you read my details, I was finding it hard when there was a lot of water under foot!
At times I was hitting the ball longer than useral due to the fact that there was less resistance from the ground which made my club stay at a good speed!

cheryl_vicary asked: I have been the sole owner since 1980 - they are actually older then my children! They are numbered and recorded at the Ping factory - I was able to replace the Pitching Wedge when I lost mine on a golf course many years ago. I want an honest appraisal of their value, as either a collectors item or for a golfer.
